Banyan Aegis™
Patent-pending residential architecture developed to combine everyday livability with layered hurricane and tornado resilience, intelligent coordination, and long-term serviceability.
A home designed to prepare, endure, and recover.
Banyan Aegis approaches residential resilience as an integrated system rather than a collection of add-ons.
The public concept brings together hardened construction, aerodynamic form, protected openings, water-management strategies, resilient utilities, and Banyan Residential Command Control (BRCC) integration. Detailed engineering, claims, specifications, and implementation methods remain subject to ongoing development and intellectual-property protection.
Hurricane + Tornado Resilience
Hurricane conditions
Aegis addresses prolonged high winds, wind-driven rain, debris impact, opening protection, drainage demand, utility disruption, and staged storm preparation and recovery.
Tornado conditions
Aegis also addresses short-duration extreme wind and debris hazards through hardened structural strategies, protected openings, roof and shell continuity, and integrated hardened-core / refuge concepts appropriate to the selected Aegis configuration.
Aegis is a resilience architecture—not a claim that any home is hurricane-proof or tornado-proof. Final performance depends on the selected model, engineering, site conditions, code requirements, construction quality, and installed protective systems.
Structural Resilience
Architecture developed for severe-wind and windborne-debris hazards associated with hurricanes and tornadoes, including impact resistance, protected openings, roof and shell continuity, hardened refuge strategies, and site-responsive construction.
Water Management
Layered drainage and water-control concepts intended to move stormwater away from vulnerable building areas during hurricane and severe-thunderstorm events and support recovery after severe weather.
BRCC Integration
Banyan Residential Command Control coordinates home status, storm preparation, safety monitoring, resilient utilities, and recovery-oriented operating states.
